Elea with rattle

Elizabeth Elm is a film editor and creative consultant specializing in documentary and educational independent films. She has worked collaboratively to develop a range of projects that include short films, online courses, musical albums, educational workshops and community events.

A trained violinist and former early childhood educator, she has directed and taught Waldorf-inspired outdoor educational programs and volunteered on various biodynamic farms, including a community for developmentally disabled adults in Aberdeen, Scotland.

In 2016 she worked as a casting producer on the A&E docu-series "60 Days In,” interviewing hundreds of non-actors nationwide whose lives have been directly affected by injustice and disfunction within the American criminal justice system. After traveling to Peru later that year she co-directed her first independent documentary short, “Pintura Amazonica,” about visionary painter, shaman and educator Pablo Amaringo.

She has since focused her work on themes of indigenous tradition, culture, environmental awareness and community-building. In 2019 she organized a series of public events and produced an album of sacred chants for Cosmo and Damião Kaxinawá of the Huni Kuî indigenous group in Brazil.
